Liam Smith has always been confident that he will beat Chris Eubank Jr if they duel, and his confidence has increased after a number of previous matches.
Two men are now fighting on Sky Sports after Smith put pen to paper a promotion deal many wars four days ago with Boxxer. Even though the 33-year-old boxer fights at 154lbs, he’s ready to switch to 160lbs to face middleweight world champion contender.
He said Sky Sports Boxing:
“I’ve always named it [Eubank fight]. “
“It’s a fight I’m going to jump into tomorrow. It’s a fight I love, it’s a fight I know can be done right now. With my return to Sky, that’s something they’ll probably push to do. “
Smith then commented on the time he spent in a boxing ring with the Brighton man.
“We had some good spars, and you can’t really lose too much spar, sparring in general. But they were sparse, we did a lot, also gave me confidence that I would beat Chris Eubank. “
Eubank Jr, currently ranked number one with WBA, last active 5 months ago against Liam Williams clear victory about points. Reflecting on the performance, Smith had a warning for the winner.
