Kia EV6 recalled | CarExpert


Kia Australia remembering 315 examples its EV6 electric crossovers due to a software issue that can cause the vehicle to roll over when parked.

This recall affects all EV6 variants produced between 2021 and 2022, and therefore affect all EV6 vehicles sold in Australia to date.

“Due to a software issue with the Gear Shift Controller (SCU), the parking latch may be faulty,” the company said in its recall notice.

“This can result in the vehicle moving or rolling away while the vehicle is in a parked position.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your preferred authorized Kia dealer for a free SCU software update.
