Mazda Australia has confirmed that they have introduced an update for BT-50 The ute is said to reduce premature and uneven tire wear caused by impacts.
This comes as Isuzu Ute Australia confirmed they already have one Corrected steering alignment of related things D-Max And MU-X to fix the same problem. Both Isuzu models are manufactured at the same facility in Thailand Mazda BT-50.
“Mazda is supporting updates to the revised wheel alignment specification and in cases of premature tire wear, we also offer tire replacement support,” a Mazda Australia spokesperson said.
An Isuzu Ute Australia spokesperson confirmed the implementation of the steering alignment change begins in November 2023.
All Isuzu D-Max and MU-X vehicles delivered in Australia from January 2024 onwards have revised steering alignment settings.
This suggests a similar timeframe for the BT-50, given it comes from the same factory, but we’ve asked Mazda Australia for clarification.

Mazda recently detailed a small update for the BT-50 in its home market of Thailand, although it’s unclear if and when it will come to Australia.
