Kason Thomass found safe and alive in Indiana, police confirm


5 months old from Ohio, Kason Thomaswas found alive, according to a Facebook video posted by the child’s grandmother LaFonda Thomas.

LaFonda, who follows Fonda Thomas on Facebook, started going live less than an hour ago. Thomas, with a group of people in the background, cheered loudly as they celebrated the discovery of the newborn.

Thomas explains that Kason was found abandoned in a parking lot in Indianapolis. She also thanked everyone online for their help, especially those in Ohio and Indiana.

“My baby has ten fingers, he has ten toes. He’s healthy, he’s healthy. We will get him, thank you. Thank God,” LaFonda said. “They found my baby in Indianapolis. That crazy bastard left my baby in the parking lot, but we caught her and they caught her and that’s all that needs to be said. I love it.”

Columbus Ohio police also confirmed Kason was found “safe and alive” in a tweet and on Facebook.

“Kason Thomass was found alive and safe in Indianapolis near a Papa John’s pizzeria. The 5-month-old boy is in good health and was taken to the hospital for examination. Kason was found in a stolen Honda Accord wearing the same clothes.”

His suspected kidnapper Nalah Jackson being detained by the police and being questioned. Police charged Nalah with two counts of kidnapping Wednesday. It is unclear whether officials will return Nalah to Ohio, if she assisted in locating Kason, and whether she will face additional charges, as she crossed the line. state boundaries with the child.

Before Kason was found safe, the FBI offered a $10,000 reward for any information that led to his safe return.

As previously reported, their mother, Wilhelmina Barnett, working as a Door Dash driver on Monday night (December 19). When she entered Donatos on East 1st Avenue and North High Street in Columbus to take her order, Jackson left inside the facility and stole her moving car. Inside the 2010 Honda Accord are Barnett’s twin sons, Kason and Kyair.

Kason will soon be reunited with his twin brother, whom Jackson abandoned outside of Dayton International Airport at around 4 a.m. local time on Tuesday. The airport is about 70 miles from where Jackson first kidnapped the children.

It is not clear why Jackson chose to separate the twins or whether investigators, however, Columbus was on his way to Indianapolis this afternoon. Below, you’ll see a press conference that took place a few hours before Kason was found safe.
