Justin Bieber updates fans after being diagnosed with facial paralysis | News about Ant-Man & Art

Justin Bieber has shared his hope of recovering from his facial paralysis, saying that Jesus has given him peace.

Late on Friday, the 28-year-old Canadian pop star posted a video on Instagram revealed that he has been diagnosed with a rare disease called Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

He said it had completely paralyzed the right side of his face and meant his upcoming tour date would have to be postponed.

On Tuesday, he posted again on Instagram, saying: “Want to share a little bit about how I feel.

“Every day getting better and through all the discomfort, I found comfort in the person who designed me and understood me.

“I reminded him all about me.

“He knew the darkest parts of me that I didn’t want anyone to know, and he never stopped welcoming me into his loving arms.

“This perspective has brought me peace during this terrible storm that I am facing.

“I know this storm will pass, but in the meantime, Jesus is with me.”

Experts have shared their assessment of Bieber’s condition. One person told Sky News that the pop star there seems to be a serious case of the virus, while another told Reuters that he showed signs of recovery.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is caused by a virus in the facial nerve and symptoms include blisters on the ears and on the roof of the mouth, as well as facial weakness, the NHS said.

The syndrome can be treated with steroids, antiviral drugs, and facial rehabilitation.

A 2001 study published in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry found that 75% of patients treated within the first three days made a complete recovery, but this number dropped to 30% at the start of treatment after seven days.
