Things kick off, as usual, with a handy roundup of industry news and new imaging gear. This time around, we have a slew of new strobes—the Marelux Apollo, the Sea&Sea YS-D3 DUO, and the Inon S-220—as well as Ikelite’s new 200DL housing for the Fujifilm X-T5, and the compatibility of the Sea&Sea Sony Alpha Universal Housing with the a7R Mark V.
In terms of equipment tests, you’ll find an interesting article on moving up from an Olympus TG-6 to the Canon EOS R7 with its APS-C size sensor; a reproduction of Backscatter’s excellent review of the Nikon Z8 alongside a separate report on the Nauticam housing for the same camera; and finally, Phil Rudin’s in-depth look at the Scubalamp D-Pro strobe and its accompanying snoot, the OSD, or Optical Shaping Device.
