With the upcoming iOS 16.1 update, Apple will now give users more granular controls over copy-paste functionality. For every app, you’ll now be able to allow or limit copy-paste functions. You can allow apps to ask you permission every time you want to paste content from other apps. You can also allow it permanently or you can deny it; it mainly depends on the user now. If permission is denied, you won’t be able to paste anything into the app.

The feature has been rolled out to the latest beta of iOS 16.1 and is expected in the final release. Therefore, when the iOS 16.1 update rolls out to more users in the coming weeks, you’ll be able to restrict the paste functionality from other apps.
Currently, the user case for this fine-grained control seems limited – most users can do it for the bank applicationin which you can restrict copy paste password from others application such as notes and documents.
Additionally, bigger features with iOS 16.1 include Live Tracking with distributed apps. This will be a big problem if you regularly use online shopping and food delivery apps.
