The Indian government recently launched a national archive of life science data.
The India Biodata Center (IBDC) is located at the Regional Biotechnology Center in Faridabad, a city in the state of Haryana while a data disaster recovery point has been set up at the Informatics Center Country in the state of Odisha.

IBDC has started offering nucleotide data submission service through two portals – Nucleotide Data Repository of India and Nucleotide Data Repository of India – Controlled Access.
