Lucid Air remains the technological leader among electric vehicles, with incredible range, power and efficiency. And we just signed up with Lucid UIhas been invisibly overhauled through software and upgraded over the air—and sometimes continues to improve day by day.
Rivian previewed this week drive module for dual motor drive systems it plans to become the core of the R1T electric pickup and R1S electric SUV lineup. With such a transmission on each axle in these trucks, the dual-engine Rivian models will offer a “standard version” or an “enhanced version” with the ability to increase power to 700 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque by software. And that would be the only way to get a Max Pack 180 kwh battery.
And Nio unveiled the EC7, a “coupe SUV” with what Nio claims to be lowest drag coefficient ever (0.23) for a production SUV—a trait that will certainly help maximize its range. But is it an SUV?
