Ian Hutchinson on Milwaukee supported TAS BMW for TT


The next racer for TAS Racing and Hutchinson

Some 40 years after winning the Senior 500cc TT as a private with Norman Brown, Hector Neill and his TAS Racing team, now managed by his son Philip, will continue their long and successful tenure on the island. Mona in June of this year – compete with the Milwaukee BMW Motorrad name, with 16-time TT winner Ian Hutchinson on a BMW M1000RR machine.

Winner Bingley returns to TAS Racing, where he previously achieved success on the Isle of Man with an 18-time TT winner. Having also lobbied for vibrant red Milwaukee playsets throughout his career, Hutchinson was delighted to see all three appear at the June rollout.

It’s been a crazy five years for me since I last played for Team TAS,“Hutchinson said. “Returned from injury in 2018, then re-signed to TAS in 2020 but never cycled because of the Pandemic. The fingers that cross everything come together for us this time, and for TT. ”

He added: “Going back to the team, where I enjoyed my most recent success at TT, is something I hope to be able to do this winter and knowing the title sponsor is Milwaukee, I really did. feel very happy. Both TAS and Milwaukee have brought me great success in the past, so I look forward to all of us working together again in 2022.. ”

TAS Team Principal, Philip Neill, who is also looking forward to the partnership, said: “Road Racing and the Isle of Man TT is simply in our DNA at TAS Racing and after a two year absence we are now looking forward to racing on the Isle of Man in June. A number of significant changes have taken place during that time, and this year’s TT has the potential to be the biggest event ever. ”

When opening the next chapter in Ian Hutchinson’s story at TAS Racing, he said: “Our partnership with Ian dates back to 2016 when together we enjoyed considerable success, both on the road and on the BSB track.
