Birds are some of the more intimidating creatures out there, and so it can be especially challenging to get close enough to photograph them before they fly away. One particularly useful tool is a blind one and this great video will show you what it is and how it is used.

One blind simply a small tent designed to blend easily into its surroundings, allowing you to hide from nearby animals undetected. Of course, during the blindfolding process you are likely to scare away any wild animals that come near, so it’s a good idea to sit for a while until the animals feel comfortable again, and since they are usually quite sensitive, you will probably need to be fairly quiet and still during this time. However, if you have enough patience and willpower, you will often be rewarded with photos that simply cannot be obtained. And luckily, blinds are generally quite affordable.
