One of the special events sure to draw crowds is the Formula 1 Grand Prix which will run through Sin City in November.
Additionally, a new $1.8 billion entertainment venue called The MSG Sphere will open this year and it will be the largest spherical structure in the world.
Of course, tourists also flock to the area for the non-stop entertainment and casinos around the clock, as well as the vibrant food scene and wealth of hotels.
However, what is one thing that can be hard to find in this city? Free parking.

If you’d rather spend your money on dinner, drinks, a show, or a casino instead of parking, we’ve got good news: We’ve found several ways to park your car for free.
This includes looking for hotels that offer free parking for both guests and guests. We also have a few workarounds for scoring free parking on The Strip.

Here are all the tips and tricks you need to know.
Stay at a hotel with free parking
Whether you’re looking for a budget or luxury stay, there are a number of hotels on and around The Strip that offer free parking.
If you bring your car and free parking is paramount, plan a visit to a top spot such as affiliated with IHG Venetian and Palazzo at the Venetian. Both offer free self parking for hotel guests and visitors.
Circus Circus, Encore/Wynn Las Vegas, Sahara, Stratosphere, The Tropicana and Treasure Island also offer free parking for both visitors and hotel guests. At The Cosmopolitan, only valet and self parking are available for hotel guests.
It is worth noting that during special events, some hotels may impose a small fee for non-hotel guests.
Get free parking through USA Life Rewards
Elite member of MGM’s US life Rewards programs get free parking, depending on their status level. Members with Pearl status and above get free self parking, while members with Gold status or above are eligible for free valet.
It is possible to achieve the elite status of M life if you are a World of Hyatt Elite Member. US life would match Hyatt’s elite status based on the following levels:
- Hyatt member = M life Sapphire.
- Hyatt Discoverist = M life Pearl.
- Hyatt Explorers = Golden Life.
- Hyatt Globalist = M golden life.
If you have Hyatt World Credit Card, you will get Auto Discoverer status, which will help you match with M life Pearl. This helps you to park your own car for free. If you want to move up to M life Gold tier through Hyatt Explorist status, you can earn additional elite-eligible nights through the card.
New cardholders receive five nights of elite eligibility, and all cardholders can earn two extra nights for every $5,000 spent with the card.
With Hyatt lowering elite status requirements due to the pandemic, you’ll need 15 nights to reach Adventurer status. When you’re ready to fit into the M life, come Hyatt website to request your status match.

Free parking through other rewards programs
In addition to M life, some casinos have rewards programs that offer free parking to elite members. Caesars Rewards offers free valet and self parking for those with Platinum status or higher.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Membership & Identity Rewards program offers free self-parking to members with Pound status and above.
People with Gold status and above can park for free. Just bring your rewards card and show it to the waitstaff to take advantage of this benefit. Both valet parking and self parking are complimentary for all guests staying at The Cosmopolitan.
Free parking at the mall
If you want free parking for the day and don’t mind a short walk to your destination, consider parking at a shopping mall. Fashion Show Mall, The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay and Shops at Crystals offer free self parking.
Free parking at the mall can be convenient if you visit other casinos nearby that don’t offer free parking. Just be aware of shopping mall hours and make sure to move your car when the stores are closed as overnight parking is not allowed.

Free Parking for Veterans
Caesars Entertainment has a special discount program for US veterans, active service members, and their spouses.
WELCOME offer discount about food and tickets. In addition, SALUTE members enjoy free parking at Caesars hotels, including Caesars Palace, Harrah’s, Planet Hollywood and others.
Free parking for local residents
Being a local pays when looking for free parking in Las Vegas.
At all MGM properties, Nevada residents receive up to three hours of free self-parking by presenting a valid Nevada driver’s license at the exit, except during special events.
Local residents also get three hours of free parking at Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Horseshoe Las Vegas (Bally’s property) and Illusion/Hard Rock. Three hours of free parking at Paris Las Vegas is also available to Nevada residents.
Use a ride-hailing service
If you want to avoid parking fees and the hassle of renting a car, ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft are the way to go.
You can call a ride from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to a hotel on The Strip for about $25. Getting around without renting a car is possible and free, thanks to the free shuttles offered between popular hotels on The Strip.
