Horseshoe Indianapolis puts $4.75 million in wallet


Thoroughbred betting schedule has been set for the 2023 race season at Indianapolis horseshoe. A total of $4.75 million will be allocated to 38 events, led by the $300,000 Indiana Derby (G3) on July 8.

The Indiana Derby vs Indiana Oaks (G3) will be part of the $1.1 million eight-stakes lineup for the Indiana Derby Day. Participation in the Derby and Oaks includes the $100,000 Michael G. Schaefer Memorial and the $100,000 Mari Hulman George Memorial, both listed events. Additionally, four turf stakes are on the cards issued by the $100,000 Indiana General Assembly, $100,000 Jonathan B. Schuster Memorial, $100,000 Snack Bet, and Lucky Star Bet Ellen’s worth $100,000.
