Harley-Davidson kicked off its year-long 120th anniversary with the unveiling of the first new models in its 2023 Harley-Davidson motorcycle lineup. Included in the announcement is the CVO model. Road Glide Limited Anniversary and six additional limited edition motorcycles featuring exclusive 120th anniversary paints, finishes and details, as well as a refreshed Harley-Davidson Breakout cruiser and midsize sportbike New Nightster Special. In the tricycle segment, Harley-Davidson announced the new 2023 Road Glide 3 tricycle as well as the redesigned and black painted Freewheeler tricycle.

Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary Models

The premium, limited-edition CVO Road Glide Limited Anniversary model celebrates 120 years of craftsmanship with what the company says is “one of the most intricate paint finishes ever offered by Harley-Davidson.”

The Heirloom Red panels are topped with a commemorative Black base coat, each bordered by a small bright red stripe and a hand-painted gold scallop. Subtle details are added in panels depicting the head and wings of a soaring eagle. The gold-plated fuel tank medallion depicts the Art Deco version of the eagle, an iconic design element of Harley-Davidson.

Another planned 120th Anniversary special paint will be offered on six additional limited production Harley-Davidson models, with color combinations and designs inspired by Harley motorcycles- The first Davidson. Each has a classic umbrella paint scheme with Sparkling Heirloom Red as the base color. The panels are bordered by a small bright red stripe and are matted with a darker Midnight Crimson. Additional details include Art Deco-style eagle fuel tank medallions, seat upholstery with red side panels and gold-embroidered Harley-Davidson logos, and faded red powertrain inserts.

Harley-Davidson offers additional cruise control and traction control

In addition to the new bikes, Harley has announced that electronic cruise control will be a standard feature on the Fat Boy, Fat Bob, Breakout and Low Rider S models, and it remains standard on the Low models. Rider ST and Heritage Classic.

A switchable traction control system will be offered as a new option for the Breakout, Low Rider S and Low Rider ST models.
