Great Wall Motor Malaysia previewed the upcoming GWM Cannon pickup truck duo at this week’s MAS 2023 event.
We first heard of these trucks around mid-2022 when they were called P12 for more passenger blue version here and bridge P11 for the white pony directional vans you see here, but they’re now called GWM Cannon as the name suggests in the Australian market.
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 160 hp and 400 Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The blue truck here (P12) has a bold front grille with a thick frame and chrome crossbars, the P11 has a “nebula” grille instead. The headlights on the P11 are also shaped like “hawk eyes”, as the company describes them, compared to the more angular styling of the headlights on the P12.
