Stephanie’s dog Hank passed away six weeks ago. She is in mourning but is still doing her best to volunteer at the local shelter. That’s when she met Rudy. Rudy, unwelcome by his former owner and potential adopters, sat in his crib. He is sad and lonely.
Instead of his owners returning him to the shelter where he was adopted, they ruthlessly opened the door and let him out. Thankfully, he was found by animal control, who took him to their shelter. Stephanie focused her attention on Rudy when he needed her most. Soon, she fell in love with the special puppy. Stephanie knew what she had to do.
Stephanie called her husband and told him about Rudy. She wants to adopt him, but her husband keeps asking her if she’s sure, because they just lost Hank. Stephanie says she wasn’t sure about Hank either when they found him at the shelter, and he ended up being their dream dog.
The compromise they agreed to was to raise Rudy and see how things turned out. Stephanie’s main goal is to get Rudy out of the shelter as soon as possible. And that’s exactly what happened! On his free ride, Rudy got scared and put his head on Stephanie’s shoulder and cried.
