Goal: Earn 5 points for every dollar spent on gas, groceries, and the internet with a Chase card

Chase is running a bunch of new offers that can bring up to 5 points for every dollar you spend. These are targeted offers, which means not everyone is eligible.

These offers are available for general spending categories, meaning you should be able to use them fairly easily. Unfortunately, fewer people were targeted for this offering than we’ve seen in the past. We see about 40% of the cards targeted for an offer.

Here’s an overview of the offers we see on Chase credit cards and how to check if you’re eligible.

Limited time bonus: Check if you are targeted

If you’re the subject of these offers, you can earn 5 points (or miles) for every dollar spent at gas stations, grocery stores, internet service, cable TV, and service. phone.

This offer applies to the first $1,500 in combined purchases across all bonus categories and is valid from January 15 to March 31.

We’ve seen these offers on credit cards in Hyatt, IHG, Marriott, Southwest and unified credit card family. The offers are the same on these cards.

If you maximize these offers, you could earn a total of 7,500 points or miles on your card over the next few weeks.

Whether your offer is on a hotel or airline credit card, the bonus categories and earning rates we see are the same.

Excitingly, we’re seeing deals on Chase’s Ink . business credit card, which is uncommon for Chase spend bonuses. With this offer, you can earn 5,000 bonus points for every $5,000 spent through February 28. There is a 15,000 point limit, meaning you’ll need to spend $15,000 to maximize this offer.

Go this link to see if any of your tags are targeted. You will need to test each card individually. Not everyone will be targeted for every offer, and it’s worth mentioning that we’re seeing fewer people being targeted than with previous versions of Chase’s spending offers.

We also haven’t seen any offers on any personal credit cards that earn cash or Final bonus points. That’s not to say you shouldn’t check back (and often) to see what offers might be on your credit card to earn bonus points on purchases.

Remember Chase Freedom (no longer open to new subscribers) and Chasing Flex Freedom Cardholder can earn 5% back at Target, supermarket and gym this quarter. This applies to the first $1,500 of a combined purchase in these categories between January 1 and March 31, 2023. You’ll need Activate this offer to get the bonus.

And Chase’s partnership with Lyft not new, but Chase Sapphire Reserve Cardholders can continue to earn 10 points per dollar on Lyft rides and get free Lyft Pink status. People have Chase Sapphire Priority CardChase Freedom (no longer open to new subscribers), Chasing Freedom Flex, Unlimited pursuit of freedom and all Ink Business credit card can earn 5 points for every dollar. This partnership runs until March 2025.

Also, depending on your card, you can get anywhere from $10 per quarter to $15 per month in statement credits for Instacart purchases. Plus, you get Instacart+ for free for 3 to 12 months, again depending on the type of Chase card you have. With several ways to earn rewards points and miles on certain Chase cards, it’s sure to take a few seconds to check your eligibility and apply. Remember to check each card individually and activate any available offers before spending on those categories.
