HoYoVerse says it’s time to duel, as it will introduce Genius Invokation TCG mode in The Genshin effect. It won’t be part of the next update, is Version 3.2. Instead, the card game will be available in Version 3.3. The Genius Invokation TCG will be primarily PvE, although there will also be a PvP mode.

There will be no reward system in PvP mode. Playing with NPCs will give you all the rewards, which means that players who don’t want to go head-to-head with real people will never have to. You will also be able to get all the cards in the game. So it looks like HoYoVerse doesn’t currently have a plan to lock the card behind the paywall.
Cards will use existing characters, items, and monsters. For example, HoYoVerse introduced Maguu Kenki, Ningguang, and Katheryne description tags. There is also a card that looks like Ganyu’s name tag. Not only can you challenge NPCs, but you can also challenge different characters. This implies that you can play Genius Invokation TCG with playable characters like Cyno. In the lore, Cyno is a Genius Invokation lover, which means he can join if the Genius Invokation TCG has its own story or event quest.
The Genshin effect available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC and mobile devices. More information on how Genius Invokation works will appear closer when The Genshin effect Version 3.3 released.
