French teenager Gustav McKeon becomes youngest player to reach 100 T20I in men’s cricket

France opener Gustav McKeon became the first teenager to score in the T20th Century in men’s cricket against Switzerland in the European T20 World Cup qualifying group B match at Tikkurila Stadium in Vantaa, Finland, on Monday.

At 18 years and 280 days, McKeon is currently the youngest T20I striker in men’s cricket, surpassing Hazratullah Zazai of Afghanistan, who hit the 100-year mark at 20 years 337 days in 2019.

Playing only his second T20I, McKeon was eventually eliminated 61-ball 109 covering five four and nine six. The 18-year-old scored 76 of 54 passes on his debut against the Czech Republic on Sunday.

However, hundreds of young players were in vain as the Swiss won a goal, overtaking France 157 of the year with the last four balls of the run-in.
