Another fun thing to do this weekend is a visit to parliament. Yes, you heard that right, the Malaysian parliament will have its opening date this weekend, May 6-7, and the public will be able to enter and experience the offices of our YBs, the historic building where laws are enacted and passed, the opulent home where table hits and insults are hurled. That is a rare opportunity.
Therefore, Rapid KL will revive ‘Bas Parlimen’ for this occasion. The route of T851 starts from the ERL departure side of KL Sentral and goes to the Taman Botani Perdana multi-storey car park before reaching the parliament. The Lake Gardens car park is the closest large car park to the parliament. Frequency is every 30 minutes and serves from 7am to 8pm. Click on the image above for details.
An initiative of the transport ministry, Bas Parlimen rides are free. that is introduced in february to address the lack of parking in parliament, and shut down in April with the end of the National Assembly session.
