With Yordenis Ugas and Errol Spence Jr due to unify the titles on April 16, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the remarkably stout male player is growing sick and tired of the Ugas and their analysis of his overall game.

In September 2019, Ismael Salas, head coach of Ugas, believed Spence Jr was on top of the game when he dethroned Shawn Porter for the 147-pound WBC title. However, after a horrific auto crash just a month later, which resulted in the Dallas product needing more than a year to recover, Salas believes Spence Jr is not the fighter he once was.

Since being knocked out of his sports car, Spence Jr has entered the ring only once, scoring a decisive one-way victory over Danny Garcia in December 2020. Although Spence Jr dominated Garcia, Salas still insists that the current unified champion is simply not the fighter he once was.

“In my personal opinion, it’s not something that can take him away but he’s not like the man who fought Shawn Porter but more like the man who fought Danny Garcia,” Salas explained to a group of reporters a few weeks ago. “Something was missing. He was missing something there. For the reason? I don’t know. Could be fire, could be scales. Many reasons.”

As can be seen in their final shoot, Spence Jr took the time to talk to Salas while assuring fans that he was back and better than ever.

“I’m better than the guy who fought Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia,” Spence Jr.

In just a few days, Spence Jr will have a chance to prove his words prophetic. However, even though Spence Jr is confident he will win, he admits that Ugas will present him with an intriguing puzzle to solve. This Cuban-born product has raised his hand in victory in 12 of his past 13 fights, including one against Manny Pacquiao, future first-timer, Manny Pacquiao.

However, despite Ugas’ corroborating evidence, Spence Jr didn’t hesitate in his predictions as to how their match would play out. With Ugas known for rushing and fighting with fire, Spence Jr issued a stark warning to his incoming opponent if he ever intends to use the same tactics against him. on the night of the battle.

“Ugas is a tough fighter. He embraces the fight. He wants to go one by one. If he had to, he would do whatever it took to win. I am that kind of person. If I had to go from head to toe, I would. If I have to stand there and fight, I will. I think if we were in the encirclement and started fighting, I don’t think it would have gone 12 innings. ”
