EA announces “long-term” Marvel deal for consoles and PC
Electronic Arts has officially announced a new “multi-title partnership” with Marvel Comics to develop at least three brand new action-adventure games for both console and PC. The exact platforms are yet to be confirmed.
These games will come with their own “origin stories” set in the Marvel universe. The first game, as revealed last month, is single player, third person Iron Man Game by Motive Studios.
EA COO Laura Miele mentioned how EA has been a long time Marvel fan and can’t wait to welcome it to the EA family:
“We have been longtime fans of Marvel and their impressive leadership, so this is a remarkable moment for our developers, players and fans alike. . We look forward to welcoming Marvel to the extended family of EA creators and know that this partnership will create exceptional experiences for our players. We can’t wait to see the players’ reactions as they dress up as Iron Man and do the extraordinary things this Super Hero is known for.”
The new Iron Man project is led by Olivier Proulx, the same individual who was a senior producer on the title Square Enix, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – available as a cloud release on Nintendo Switch.
