Movie Toho announced that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 grossed 10.4 billion yen (~90.4 million USD) with over 7.6 million tickets sold. The animated film has passed the 10 billion yen milestone 43 days after hitting Japanese theaters on December 24, 2021.
Film adaptation of Jujutsu KaisenIts prequel has become one of the most popular anime series. It totals more than 5.8 billion yen with 4.3 million tickets sold within the first 11 days. However, it still doesn’t come close Demon Slayer: Ship Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen. The Demon Slayer the movie hit the 10 billion mark in just ten days after its release in October 2020.
The Japan Academy Film Awards Association also booked Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was one of the nominees for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year. The list of candidates also includes Evangelion 3.0 + 1.01: Thrice Upon a Time. Revenue wise, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 more than Evangelion, it will take 4 months from March to July 2021 to reach 10 billion yen. The association will announce the award winners in March 2022.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 immediately available for viewing in Japanese theaters. The English version of the film will be available in USA and Canada on March 18, 2022. This release will include both subtitles and voiceovers. The film will also appear in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and French-speaking African countries on an unspecified date.
