Ducati Multistrada V4 is equipped with an automatic lowering system

After only one year of sales, Ducati Multistrada V4 is getting a modest update for the 2022 model year, with the standout feature being a semi-automatic suspension lowering system.

This concept mimics the concept first seen on Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 adventure bike, where the front fork is offloaded and the rear shock is damped at stops and low speeds to give the rider firm contact with the ground.

This “Minimum Preload” feature will be available on all Ducati Multistrada V4 S 2022 models, and those with 2021 bikes in their garage can receive a free software update from Ducati.

Ducati is also updating the connectivity software for free, which brings a number of improvements, including the ability to connect one’s cell phone to the bike without having to keep the screen on.

Multistrada V4 multimedia operations are one of the bike’s weak points when we test the machinethis makes this update a particularly welcome one for our ears.

Catching up with one of Harley-Davidson’s standout features also seems to be a smart move for the Italian brand, as it tries to maintain the Ducati Multistrada V4 as “the best of the rest” compared to the rest of the bike. locks that BMW R1250GS has on the segment.

The final changes made to the Ducati Multistrada V4 2022 lineup include the aluminum trim and top box from Givi, as well as the “Iceberg White” paint color, shown below.
