DBKL free shuttle bus for Pusat Bandar Damansara workers to metro station, no longer have to walk on highway
If you have seen “mad people” endangering themselves and other drivers by walking on the highway at Damansara Link near the Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT area, where Petron station is located, then this writer apologize on their behalf. I sometimes do the same after running, because there is no other way to get from the PBD to the metro station.
Massive construction in the area – a combination of Pavilion Damansara Heights and several types overpass there – caused considerable inconvenience to residents of Bangsar and Damansara Heights, as well as motorists using the road from PJ to KL and vice versa.
For those who work at the PBD, the metro station is still very close and there is no longer a physical connection – people have to literally walk through the construction site twice a day. And the companies behind all that construction never bothered to make pedestrian crossings, which is why you see them sharing the lane with cars.
Now there is some relief. DBKL is providing a free shuttle from DC Mall to PBD MRT station during peak hours – that is 7:30 am to 10:30 am and 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the evening. It started yesterday and KL mayor Datuk Seri Hj Mahadi Che Ngah came to check the service. Thank you and DBKL.
City Hall said the DC Mall-MRT’s free shuttle service will operate until the contractor establishes a temporary walkway at the end of March. People who work at Pusat Bandar Damansara and HLB’s HQ, please share this information with your colleagues.
