2023 BMW 3 Series Gran Sedan facelift in Thailand – LWB G28 LCI; CBU Malaysia; 320Li, 330Li; from RM357k
The new G28 BMW 3 Series Gran Sedan facelift has been launched in Thailand, and according to headlightThe updated long-wheelbase model will be imported as a complete unit (CBU) from Malaysia like the model before the facelift.
However, unlike the previous 3 Series Gran Sedan, the new version is offered in two variants, including the more affordable 320Li and the returning 330Li, both with the standard M Sport package. Prices start at 2,759 million baht (RM357,191) for the 320Li, while the 330Li retails for 3,099 million baht (RM401,208).
Included in the price tag is the BSI Standard package which includes a three-year/unlimited km warranty and free three-year/60,000 km maintenance. It should be noted that the 330Li facelift is more expensive than its predecessor at 2,899 million baht (RM375,256).
Under the bonnet, both variants are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine that produces 184 PS (181 hp or 135 kW) from 5,000 to 6,500 rpm. and 300 Nm of torque from 1,350 to 4,000 rpm at 320Li. The 330Li has a higher output power of 258 (255 hp or 190 kW) and 400 Nm, the latter serving from 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. An eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission comes standard with rear-wheel drive.
As before, the wheelbase of the 3 Series Gran Sedan is 110 mm longer than the standard 3 Series, with the overall length also increasing by 110 mm. In terms of full dimensions, the car measures 4,819 mm long, 1,827 mm wide, 1,442 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,961 mm (3 Series regular is 2,851 mm).
Visually, the 3 Series Gran Sedan has similar styling changes, including a new front grille, headlights and bumpers. The interior also gets a BMW Curved Display with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central infotainment touchscreen – powered by BMW Operating System 8- while the gearshift is in place. replaced by a toggle switch.
In terms of equipment, the 320Li is equipped with LED headlights with headlight assist, 18-inch V-spoke alloy wheels of 780 style, Comfort Access, panoramic sunroof, smooth oak grain cladding, leather-wrapped M steering wheel, dashboard. Sensatec-decorated controls, ambient lighting, three-zone climate control and power-adjustable front seats with driver-side memory function.
Other equipment includes BMW Connected Package Professional, HiFi speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, Driver Assistance package (including automatic emergency braking) and Park Assist .
The 330Li improves upon the 320Li by featuring adaptive LED headlights, the M Lights Shadowline package, aluminum interior trim, anthracite headlights and a Harman Kardon sound system.
Interior upholstery colors include Mocha and Cognac – both with decorative stitching – although the latter is only offered with the Carbon Black Metallic exterior. The former is the default with Mineral Metallic White or Skyscraper Metallic paint finishes.
BMW Malaysia has launched facelifted 3 Series in Malaysia and confirm that the 3 Series Long Wheelbase (we have model before innovation) will be introduced sometime this month with a focus on performance M340i xDrive (supplied with standard wheelbase only).
