Community Critique: Unique lighting


Welcome to another Community Critique contest! Every month, Fstoppers is challenging our community to send us their best photos. Critique of the Community programand three lucky winners will win various photography-related prizes.

During the month of May, we want to see the best photos you have “unique light.” Your photo can be in any genre of photography including landscape, portrait, architecture or still life as long as it has interesting and unique lighting. Each image in the review will be selected based on creativity, lighting, subject matter, overall production, final editing, and overall “wow” factor. Community ratings play a small role in our selection but it’s not as big as you might think, so don’t pay too much attention to what others say about your images.

Duration

This month we allow each participant to submit up to 4 photos. All images must be posted to this page no later than later May 24, at 11 p.m Western time.

As always, every qualifying entry must have at least 3 sentences explaining how the photo was taken, any valuable technical information including lighting, camera equipment, lens selection, etc. and any What background story can help viewers understand why your image is so interesting? .

Awards

Each month we will give away various photography-related prizes. This month is no different and we are featuring a huge collection of Profoto’s latest softbox, mesh, Edge mask and diffuser. Unlike traditional softboxes that require assembly using individual pole pieces, the new Profoto Softbox line features an easy-to-use snap mechanism that allows you to create a softbox in seconds.
