Conor McGregor would welcome collaboration with Eddie Hearn

Conor McGregor keeps a close eye on what’s going on in the boxing world. The polarized Mixed Martial Arts silhouette still has a sour taste in his mouth from his last boxing fight.
In August 2017, McGregor abandoned his 4-ounce MMA gloves and opted to try his hand at boxing. In his professional debut, McGregor took on the role of the newly introduced Hall of Famer, Floyd Mayweather Jr. The two will travel around the world while throwing every derogatory curse in the book at each other.
In the end, their unique methods worked as their pay-per-view event generated 4.3 million buys, the second-most in the history of combat sports.
Even as McGregor had significantly fattened his wallet, earning reportedly north of $100 million, he was disappointed with the end result, losing through the 10th round stop.
Ultimately, McGregor would love the chance to add a boxing world title to his massive MMA collection. While he’s not sure when he’ll return to the squared circle, he does have an idea of who he wants to work with.
“Sure, why not?” McGregor said when asked if he would like to work with promoter Eddie Hearn in an interview on Seconds Out. “I have no problem with Eddie. He always respects me. He’s doing big things in boxing. All the love in the world for Eddie and the Matchroom team. “
Of course, Hearn has become one of the leading figures in the boxing world. The longtime promoter recently concluded a three-way deal with what many consider the best boxer in the world in Canelo Alvarez.
Along with Alvarez, Hearn also promoted current IBF middleweight champion Gennadiy Golovkin, rising heavyweight contender Conor Benn and former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Even as McGregor expressed his desire to acrobatic in the boxing ring again, he admits that his focus is somewhere else right now.
“There are endless options, but MMA is where opportunities arise every minute.”
