Chevrolet Blazer Premier 2022 is priced lower than the 2021 model

Chevrolet make some changes come Blazers for the 2022 model year, including a reduction in the base engine and bright paintwork colour available, but it also shuffles the list of standard and optional features. As a result, Premier’s top trim costs are lower than in 2021.

Prices for a front-wheel-drive 2022 Blazer Premier start at $42,295, according to GM agency, while the all-wheel drive model costs $45,195. For context, 2021 models priced at $43,895 and $46,095 respectively. New car price usually go up by model year, so what’s the benefit? Chevrolet doesn’t feel unusually generous; it simply moves some formerly standard features into the list of options.

Premier models no longer come standard with the Advanced Convenience package, which includes ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a power-adjustable steering column, driver memory function and an eight-speaker Bose sound system. . That package is currently $1,660, though Chevrolet warns that some vehicles built after November 15 won’t get ventilated front seats or heated rear seats (presumably because ongoing chip shortage that’s wreaking havoc on the auto industry). So while Premier 2022 costs $1,600 less than 2021, configuring one with the same feature set will cost buyers an extra $60. All told, it’s a reasonable difference.

Buyer with something to drag are in luck. Chevrolet has made the Trailering package (which includes a heavy duty cooling system) standard on the all-wheel drive Premier, according to the same report. It costs $650 for 2021, and adding it to the front-wheel-drive 2022 Blazer will still cost you an extra $650. And now that the base 2.5-liter engine is out of the picture, motorists planning to tow no longer have to order a Blazer with the optional V6 engine. The 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine gives intersection 3,500 pounds towing capacity.

NS 2022 Chevy Blazer on my way to authorized dealer. Pricing for the base 2LT version starts at $34,595 including a $1,195 destination fee. For comparison, the cheapest 2021 model is the now discontinued L, which costs $29,995, and the 2021 2LT also starts at $34,595.
