Nantucket is fed up with its new Tesla Cybertruck owner
Travel on the Steamship Authority ferry, a Tesla Cybertruck was finally successful to Nantucket Last Thursday, and once it was clear of the boat, its owner wasted no time in causing such a nuisance that he earned a local newspaper article of his own. Later the same day, the Current Nantucket published an article titled, “Junked: First Tesla e-truck on Nantucket has a rough day.” And you know, we definitely get frustrated.
One of the first things the Cybertruck’s owners allegedly did was park their car blocking the crosswalk in front of a real estate broker’s office, which certainly wasn’t very friendly to them. Again, not everyone expects Cybertruck owners to be good neighbors. Sure, parking crookedly in crosswalks, giving terrible podcast recommendations, and defending Drake, but showing civic pride and social responsibility? Are not.
After graciously opening the crosswalk, the Cybertruck’s owner was later discovered at the beach. Driving on the beach is one of the attractions of staying on Nantucket, but there’s also a reason I Pull Out Beach Towing is still in operation and it’s not because of all the trouble on local roads. That’s a good thing for our infamous Cybertruck owner because what do you know, he got his truck stuck in the sand.
Are we all surprised that the first Cybertruck owner on Nantucket used the pull-out method? Incorrect. This isn’t the first time a Cybertruck has gotten stuck in sand. Hopefully he remembers to wash his hands immediately after being rescued but not in direct sunlight and certainly not at a car wash. After all, it would be a shame if his Cybertruck broke down. Just a real shame.
It’s still not entirely clear what the truck owner’s future plans are, but you can rest assured that whatever they are, Current will cover their entire body like white on rice. For some reason the people there really didn’t like this guy.
