It’s a marked improvement from her most recent appearance, a fifth-place finish on the August 28 Ballerina Stakes show at Racecourse Saratoga.

Trained by Michael McCarthy, Ce Ce is the daughter of Elusive quality and Miss Houdini, by Belong to Me. This 6-year-old is 3-1-1 this year in six starts, earning $604,000. For her career, she is 11-2-4 in 22 starts.
Ce Ce ranks third in career earnings among her descendants. The first is Smarty Jones, who won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes in 2004 and earned $7,613,155. In second was Sepoy (AUS), who made $3,990,138.
It was Ce Ce’s 11th consecutive ranked race and 17th of her last 18 outings.
A 1-5 favorite, Ce Ce pays $2.60. Under the Stars returns $3.60 and Teddy’s Barino $2.10.
