Shane Crawley is not one of the trainers familiar with the British equestrian society, but he is very capable. He sent a runner to Kempton Racecourse past and the horse about fourth. However, he has won on British soil twice so anything he sends across the Sea of Ireland is always worth looking back. He doesn’t travel for madness.

5.30 Kempton
The feature race on the card is the Unibet Wild Flower Stakes, a listed contest that is competitive on just over 1m4f. The Crawleys have booked James Doyle to ride Tartlette, who was a four-time winner at Dundalk so this surface should not pose any problems.
Tartlette is a five-year-old mare from the Champs Elysees and loves to be ridden with a lot of patience. Her last success was at Dundalk with a 90 handicap in February and she has run well in the tougher company since then.
She came very close to picking up some black when she placed fourth in Group 3 at Dundalk in September. Crawley sent her here to participate in the Floodlit Stocks listing in November and was only briefly beaten in fourth, thwarted at a crucial stage of the race. It was a matter of tactics and she did the best that was organized.
The freestyle Fox Tal looks sure to become a suitable test for Tartlette here and with good pace to aim for, she’s a big player.
