Ben Whittaker Professional Debut Now Set for July 30th
Ben Whittaker’s much-anticipated debut will now take place on July 30.
This Saturday night in Manchester was the original plan for the 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist to bow but the event in the middle Hughie Fury and Michael Hunter postponed when the former withdrew due to illness.
The light heavyweight, who will be coached by Tyson Fury’s Sugar Hill Steward trainer, has made a name for himself, it was noise when it was announced he had signed with promoter Ben Shalom and BOXXER.
Shalom said to Sports sky:
“He’s super excited, he’s going to start in the light-heavyweight division and he also wants to move quickly.”
“He’ll be out on July 30th now”
“Seeing SugarHill and Ben work together – it’s remarkable for boxing fans. It’s something that I know a lot of people are excited about. “
Whittaker’s debut will be part of the establishment Chris Billam-Smith and Isaac Chamberlain night battle in Bournemouth. Whittaker spoke to Sky Sports about the announcement:

Whittaker has also announced that he will beat current 175lbs British champion Dan Azeez within five matches.
Frazer Clarke and Caroline Dubois are also set to appear on the July 30 Sky Sports card.
