Before launching Baizu banner on May 2, 2023, HoYoVerse shared a new trailer for five stars The Genshin effect introductory video. This is one of the cinematic character demos. This means that while some gameplay elements are shown, it is more about showcasing the character’s personality and background. In Baizhu’s case, it again meant referring to the undisclosed illness and its severity.
The video begins with a sick pot brewing some medicine. One of the The Genshin effect The Treasurer’s enemies come to steal it, but Baizhu stops them. Changsheng, the talking snake that is always by his side, then notices that many people have appeared to steal it. Baizhu then uses his Dendro Catalyst ability to attack them while healing and shielding himself. At about 1:16, Longevity refers to mortality. After a Treasure Hoard threatens his life, Baizu says, “My death is of no concern to anyone but me.” This alludes to the character seemingly suffering from a deadly disease in the game.
The video ends with a twist revealing exactly what drug Baizhu is working on, as well as the presence of his assistant Qiqi.
This is one of two ways HoYoVerse introduces the playable pre-launch character. There is also a web events extended until May 3, 2023.
The Genshin effect available for PS4, PS5, PC and mobile, and HoYoVerse told us the Baizhu banner will run from May 2 to 23, 2023.
