Because when you’re a socialist, all it takes to fix a problem is the government’s goal, right?

Chris Bowen outlines government’s Climate Change Bill, vows to legislate emissions reduction target in first week of parliament

The Albanese government will seek to legislate 2030 and 2050 emissions reduction targets, as part of the Climate Change Bill, to be introduced during the first week of the parliamentary session.

Mr. Bowen outlined four key elements of the bill, which he said would help bring stability and policy certainty to the energy sector.

“First, we will seek to document our nationally determined contribution of a 43 percent reduction in emissions by 2030 and zero by 2050,” he said.

“Secondly, by law, we will explicitly mandate the Climate Change Authority to assess and publish progress on these goals and advise the government on the targets in this regard. The future includes the 2035 goal.

“Third, we will legislate that will require the Secretary of State in charge of climate change to report annually to Congress on progress toward our goals.

“Ultimately, as part of the legislation, we will therefore incorporate national goals into the goals and functions of a range of government agencies including ARENA, CFC infrastructure Australia and NAIF. “

Hands up, who is planning to invest in building a new factory or energy-intensive business in Australia?

I don’t hold my breath waiting for the announcement of a realistic plan for how to achieve these emissions targets, at least one that doesn’t cause unacceptable pride among ordinary Australians. Britain’s flirtation with the allocation of energy is proof of what happens when a green government is ignorant about promoting renewable energy policies.

Australia saw “Voluntary” energy rations, thanks to the sad state of our distributed energy systems. This can only get worse, under climate fanatics like the Climate Secretary Chris Bowen and prime minister Anthony Albanesewho has vowed to cut emissions by 43% by 2030.

Federal Minister of Climate and Energy Chris Bowen his proof weak understanding of the issueswhen he suggested that we could cure renewable energy disruptions by storing electricity like water.

The only silver lining to this charade, it will be entertaining to watch them continue begging coal companies to produce more electricityat least until the magic solar panels are ready.
