The model is ok, the prediction is wrong | Dr. Judith Curry | Episode 329
Dr Jordan B Peterson and Dr Judith Curry discuss climate change, key errors in current and future models, academic fraud, and the need for dissenting opinions.
Judith Curry is an American climatologist with a BA in geography from Northern Illinois University and a PhD in geophysical sciences. from the University of Chicago. Curry is an Emerita professor and former Chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She has had a successful career working with NASA, the US Government and many academic institutions in the field of climate change. Curry advocates a no-alarm approach, acknowledging Earth’s temperature is rising like salt in the water — fieldwork and refusing to close the doors of science to those with opposing views and findings. In 2017, Dr. Curry stepped down from his position at the Georgia Institute of Technology, citing the “toxic nature of the scientific discussion of man-made climate change” as a key factor. Curry co-founded and serves as president of the Climate Prediction Applications Network (CFAN), which seeks to turn advanced weather and climate research into usable forecasting products.
