Alabama vs. Auburn, updates, highlights from 2021 Iron Bowl rival game

There’s a chance that chaos will ensue as No. 3 Alabama moves into opponent’s territory to face Auburn in the annual Iron Bowl head-to-head game.

The Crimson Tide (10-1, 6-1 SEC) will come out of round 42-35 against Arkansas last week. They will be looking for a win over the Tigers (6-5, 3-4 SECOND) to boost their College Football Playoff hopes. They have won nine of the last 13 games in the series, including last year’s 42-13 victory at Tuscaloosa. However, Alabama have lost three of their last four meetings at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The Alabama offensive will be led by Heisman Trophy candidate Bryce Young. The midfielder is seventh in FBS with 3,584 yards. His primary passing target was Jameson Williams, who led the Crimson Tide with 1,218 yards of receiving and 13 touchdowns. Rerun Brian Robinson Jr. will seek to dominate the earth. He led the team with 945 yards of dash and 14 touchdowns.

Robinson will be challenged by a Tiger-powered defense that allows for up to 177.2 yards per game. Young could face pressure from Eku Leota and Derick Hall, who lead Auburn with six sacks each.
