Giddey played a key role in the Thunder’s late comeback, helping drag them to within four points with 41.3 seconds remaining before the Mavs held on to the win. While he described the historic moment as a ‘fantastic milestone’, after the game he was more concerned with the win/loss column.
“It’s cool and the personal stats are good, you’ll enjoy it overnight, but winning is always better than personal stats for me,” he said after the game.
“If I have zeros, zeros, zeros and we win, I’m happier than if I have a double and we lose, it’s always been the same for me, always will be. “
