You direct a massive mob marching humans to the light, rebuilding humanity and unlocking new mechanics in the process. Command people to spin, jump, climb, swim, shoot, follow and more to get them to their goal through 90 carefully designed stages. Challenging puzzles await you, combined with more action-focused elements, platformer-like levels, and even epic boss battles. Your meeting

Meet Your Maker, our new first-person raid and building game, is out now and available as part of PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for April. Players enter a post-apocalyptic world. where they are tasked with both creating and infiltrating winding labyrinth-like Outposts filled with traps and sentinels to protect and steal an important resource.

Every level in the game is exquisitely player-designed, and whether you choose to focus on building or raiding Outposts, both roles are fun, accessible, and even fun. provides cooperation option to team up with friends. Here are some gameplay tips to get you started:

When building:

  1. Start with a 3-step approach: Build a basic structure, add traps and guards, then personalize with cosmetics. You don’t lose progress or resources when raided, so share your Outpost and come back to improve it anytime.
  2. You can only modify the trap to activate after the Genmat has been stolen. Surprise the Raiders by making exiting as hard (or harder!) as entering.
  3. Think like a Raider when you set traps. Ask them what they might instinctively do when faced with a particular situation, then use those responses against them.
  4. Try to break through your own defenses through the “Test my Outpost” feature. That’s the best way to know what works and what doesn’t.

When attacking:

  1. Grapple Hook is your new best friend. Owner it. It gives you incredible mobility for both attack and escape.
  2. Stock up on useful items like speed boosts, deployable shields, etc before starting your raid. You never know when you will need them.
  3. When a trap is tripped, you will receive both visual and audio signals before it deploys. A quick response can save your life.
  4. Drop the Phoenix Pod after you get the Genmat to respawn once from the same spot. You never know what awaits you on the way out.

Kena: The Bridge of Souls

Kena: Bridge of Spirits marks our game’s debut! At Ember Lab we’ve always had a passion for great storytelling, and in September 2021 our small animation studio officially transitioned into game development with the release of Kena. Since then, we’ve had the honor of receiving both fan support and critical acclaim. Our story-driven action adventure combines a narrative focus with exploration, puzzle solving, and fast-paced combat. Both the press and the public described Kena’s adventures as “wonderful”, “fascinating” and “spectacular”.

Inspired by nostalgic games and movies, Kena blends Eastern and Western themes as players untangle the past of a forgotten village. Kena, a young Spirit Guide, searches for the mysterious Sacred Mountain Temple. As a genuine Spirit Guide, players help souls trapped by their personal tragedies with the help of cute (but powerful) spirit companions, Rot.

Upon release, our game won “Best Indie Game” at the Game Awards 2021. Commended for Animation, Art Direction, Music, etc., Kena continues to receive Awarded and nominated at Game Developers’ Choice Awards, DICE, BAFTA, Taipei Game Show, Annie Awards, Webby Awards and SXSW.

We released a free “Anniversary Update” one year after launch as a thank you for the incredible support. The update allows us to include many features that we weren’t able to include in the first release, including New Games+, Spirit Guide Experiments, cosmetics, etc. You can read all about the Edition. Anniversary update in our PlayStation Blog: reveal details And Crafting new outfits.

Since launch, PlayStation players have found over 40 million Rots and over 8 million unique hats! (out of 100 possible Rots in the game). We’re excited when new players join! With Kena: Bridge of Spirits, we aim to strike a balance between engaging, impactful, and fun. We hope you enjoy our debut game.
