Virat Kohli surpasses Mohammad Rizwan to reach this milestone in T20I format

Star Indian batter Virat kohli on Wednesday became the player with the highest average score in the T20I format of cricket. He achieved this feat in the group A team’s match against Hong Kong in Dubai within the ongoing 2022 Asian Cup. In this match, Virat Kohli showed a glimpse of his old self and hit 59* out of 44 balls, including a four and three six. Now in 101 games, Virat has scored 3,402 runs in the T20Is with an average of 50.77. He has 31 half-century in this format, with a personal best score of 94*. He has an attack rate of 137.12.
He overtook Pakistani smasher Mohammed Rizwan, who averaged 50.14 in 57 games. They are followed by Devon Conway of New Zealand (average 47.20 in 23 games), the star of Pakistan beat Babar Azam (average 44.93 in 75 games) and Indian hitter Manish Pandey (average 44.31 over 39 games).
In addition, Kohli also scored his 31st goal in half a century on Wednesday, equaling Rohit Sharma’s record of scoring more than 50 points in the T20Is.
Coming to the match, 28 excellent 62 * balls from Suryakumar Yadav and Kohli’s undefeated 44-ball 59 helped India to a total of 192/2 after Hong Kong put them in a knock-out position.
After a slow start, India looked set on a subtotal total, but Suryakumar took the lead at death to help India finish on a flourish. He hit six innings six and six six – four of which came in the finals finish.
Hong Kong showed intent to the bat in Powerplay, but once the Indian spinner entered the field, they were gone.

Babar Hayat was their top scorer with 35 41 tackles, while Kinchit Shah made 30 28 shots. Hong Kong ultimately finished with 152/5.
Hong Kong still has hope of reaching the Super-4 round of the Asian Cup but they need to beat Pakistan in the final Group A match to make it happen.
