Ironheart reportedly cast Regan Aliyah in an undisclosed role. According to Deadline, XO star Kitty will appear alongside lead character Dominique Thorne in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe show. The six-episode series will be directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes (Atlanta), each volume occupies three volumes. Chinaka Hodge – best known for Netflix’s Snowpiercer – serves as creator and lead writer for Ironheart. The Disney+ series is part of Marvel’s Phase 5 lineup and is scheduled to release in the fall of 2023.
First appeared in Invincible in 2016 Iron Man comic, Ironheart followed Riri Williams, a 15-year-old engineering student. After her father’s death, the certified super genius built a suit of armor, similar to Tony Stark’s, and continued to improve it. That was until Stark endorsed her decision to be a superhero.
Williams will be played by the aforementioned Thorne, who has seen before in the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverreleased at San Diego Comic-Con This year. With the arrival of Iron Man in the MCU, it seems that Riri’s story has been woven into the world of Wakanda.
The Black Panther 2 the trailer shows her carving her breasts Ironheart suit. Early last month, put photo gave our first look at the Ironheart suit, which looks pretty modern with lots of upgrades, but doesn’t have the red-gold tone that fans are familiar with.
Earlier this week, Marvel released some new merchandise for Black Panther 2, provide a the first look in the final version of Ironheart’s armor. The action figures were spotted at Target in the US and feature the iconic red suit with gold seams, but with a black visor covering the face.
As for whether this MCU show functions as a prequel to Black Panther 2, can’t say right now.
Like Aliyah, most actors have their characters kept under wraps. The only known role other than Thorne will be Lyric Ross'(This is us), who played William’s best friend, Natalie Washington. Anthony Ramos (In the heights) is said to be playing the villain, and there are undisclosed roles in store for Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Manny Montana, Harper Anthony, Zoe Terakes and Shea Coulée.
Aliyah is currently starring in By Netflix XO, Kitty, spin-off of To all the boys series movie.
Ironheart slated to release on Disney + and Disney + Hotstar in the fall of 2023.
