For now, my main goal is to tackle as much of the rest of the summer as possible. That includes wearing slippers until it’s too cold to be doable, and having impromptu al fresco dinners before daylight saving returns. But while I’m still in full summer mode, notifications about pumpkin spice and new knit sweaters have reached my inbox. As I grapple with how I feel about saying goodbye to summer, it’s hard to ignore the feeling of autumn’s new beginnings still haunting me. For some, that means starting school or starting a new hobby, for me it means shopping for new clothes.
