2023 Honda Vario 160 Repsol Edition for Malaysia – RM10,498, limited production to just 2,000 units
For the Malaysian scooter market, the Honda Vario 160 Repsol Edition 2023 is available now for RM10,498 excluding road tax, insurance and registration. This is RM500 more than the base model Vario 160 at RM9,998 and only 2,000 units will be produced for local sale at authorized Boon Siew Honda dealers.
Aside from the Repsol race car color, the Vario 160 has no other changes in engine or styling. Power comes from a 157 cc, four-valve single cylinder, liquid-cooled.
Vario 160 produces 15.3 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque of 13.8 Nm at 7,000 rpm. This power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a CVT gearbox and belt drive.
Wheel size on Vario 160 is 14 inches front and rear, comes with 100/80 and 120/70 tubeless tires. Standard equipment is single-channel ABS on the front wheels, with braking performed by single hydraulic discs front and rear.
Meanwhile, the suspension uses a telescopic fork at the front and a single shock absorber that can be adjusted for preload at the rear. Driving conveniences on the Vario 160 include Smart Key access with keyless start, alarm and redial.
Other devices on offer are a USB-A charging port and an 18-litre storage compartment found under the seat, while a monochrome LCD panel displays all the necessary information. The weight of the Vario is 117 kg with a 5.5 liter fuel tank and a seat height of 778 mm.
