Round 2 of Rotax MAX Challenge Malaysia 2022 will kick off this weekend in Sepang – watch livestream on FB
Round 2 of the Rotax MAX Challenge Malaysia (RMC Malaysia) will take place this weekend from 14-15 May 2022 at Sepang International Cycling Circuit, full of racers from across the East South Asia will join the fight. Stay tuned for reservations at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMC Grand Finals) in Portimau, Portugal in mid-November.
Genji Hashimoto from Amprex Motorsport, RMC Malaysia’s authorized Rotax distributor and promoter, said: “With RMC Malaysia as an exclusive series of events on this year’s racing calendar, we are looking forward to this racing spectacle.
“On one of the toughest races in Southeast Asia, we wanted to give the Rotax family the opportunity to compete against each other on international terrain ahead of the RMC Grand Final in Portimau. Also, there is a chance to win a total of four Finals tickets,” he added.
Over six rounds, RMC Malaysia consists of four categories (Micro, Junior, Senior and DD2 Masters), with a total of 30 provisional registrations. The overall championship winner in each respective category will represent Malaysia at the RMC Grand Finals in Portugal. In addition, the overall podium winners (first to three) in each category will also be selected to participate in the final round of the Japan Rotax MAX Festival.
The format of RMC Malaysia is based on the concept of the Rotax Max Challenge Global Sports and Technical Regulations. After qualifying on Saturday morning, participants will take part in qualifying on Saturday afternoon to determine the starting grid for the final races.
