At the press launch of CFMOTO in late June 2022, we tested a few rounds with the Ibex 800 T (formerly 800 ADVentura T). Bicycle information is banned until August, at which point we featured the Ibex 800 T in the September issue and on our website. At the time, an Ibex 800 S was mentioned, but the bike was not featured at the press launch in Minnesota. However, details have been provided on the Street version of this bike.

As mentioned in our roundup of the many bikes we tried at launch, CFMOTO perhaps best known for its ATVs and side-by-side vehicles that it has sold in the US since 2002. The company established its US headquarters in Plymouth, Minnesota in 2007. The company established a partnership with KTM in 2014 and shortly after starting production of KTM 200/390 Dukes for the Chinese market. After a short time importing motorcycles such as naked bike 650NK and sport-tourer 650TK into the US, CFMOTO has withdrawn from the market but recently returned with a full product line for 2022.

As for the Ibex 800 T we tested, our reviewer said it felt “firm, responsive and – unsurprisingly considering its engine origins – on par with its similar products from Europe.”
Like its high-end brother, the Ibex 800 S is equipped with a DOHC, 8-valve, 799cc, liquid-cooled engine, borrowed from the previous generation. KTM 790 Adventure makes the claimed 94 hp and 57 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 6-speed transmission and a slip assist clutch. The Ibex 800 is equipped with throttle and has two driving modes (Sport and Rain) and cruise control.
The Ibex 800 has a chrome-plated steel frame, fully adjustable KYB suspension (6.3/5.9-inch front/rear travel), 19-inch front and 17-inch rear aluminum alloy wheels, and J. Juan triple disc brakes (dual 320 mm) single front, single 260 mm rear) with cornering ABS. It has a fully LED lighting system, an adjustable windscreen and a 7-inch TFT display. With a 5-gallon fuel tank, it has a weight limit of 509 lb.
Aside from the additional bells and whistles on the Ibex 800 T (heated grips, heated seats, speedshift paddles, USB and 12V ports), the main difference in the Ibex 800 S is the aluminum alloy wheels, fitted with aluminum alloy wheels. over 800 T .
CFMOTO Ibex 800 S 2023 will be available in Nebula Black and Twilight Blue colors with prices starting at $9,499.
