A man has just exposed a Zomato food delivery scam that he chose not to profit.

Vinay Sati, a businessman, in his LinkedIn post shared his experience receiving an offer from a delivery boy Zomato to pay a very small amount for food worth at least one thousand rupees. . The man said he “got goosebumps” as soon as he realized what was happening in Zomato.
“Yesterday I ordered some burger king burgers from Zomato. And I’ve done it too online payment. And as soon as the delivery boy arrived in 30-40 minutes, he told me, sir, next time don’t pay online,” Sati said in the post. When he asked the reason behind this, the delivery boy replied that next time he ordered food worth Rs. 700-800 via COD (cash on delivery), he will only have to pay Rs. 200 Rs. 300 for it.
“I’ll show him tomato that you don’t take food but will also give you the food you ordered,” Vinay Sati quoted delivery boy Zomato as saying.
The delivery boy said he would tell Zomato that the food was not taken, even though he delivered it. And for Zomato, that food will go to waste and it will incur a loss.
After this strange encounter, Vinay Sati said he had two choices – either profit from this scam and enjoy the offer of delivery boy Zomato or expose the scam. “And as an entrepreneur, I chose the latter option,” says Sati.
Sati also questioned Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO of Zomato, “Now don’t say you didn’t even know that this was happening?”
He even questioned Goyal’s team, “And if even after knowing all this, you still can’t work it out. So what are your #IIMs doing?”
Goyal decided not to ignore the question and instead replied: “Aware of this. Working to close the loopholes.”
