2022 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace 1.4 TSI Current Life in Malaysia – entry level in three variants, RM173k
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) announced the introduction of the third vehicle Volkswagen Allspace facelift product line variation. Allspace 1.4 TSI Life assembled in the country participates in 1.4 TSI Elegance and 2.0 TSI R-Line 4Motion-is the entry level model in the chain.
Visually, the Life shares the same exterior design cues as its siblings, with styling elements including a sleek front grille with Volkswagen’s signature strip of lights between the two. Full LED headlights and trim to ‘Allspace’ specifications. Other details include LED taillights, silver-painted side mirrors as well as 18-inch Frankfurt silver alloy wheels and 235/55 rubber as featured on the Elegance.
Inside, the Life gets a leather-wrapped multifunction sports steering wheel and three-zone Climatronic automatic climate control, and like the other two variants, comes with a 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system with positioning and wireless connectivity. The practicality of the seven-seater continues, with luggage compartment up to 1,775 liters in the top row with the second and third rows of seats fully folded.
Like the Elegance, the Life is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 150 hp between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm. . The factory is mated to a six-speed DSG wet dual-clutch transmission, with the drive being sent to the front wheels.
On the safety front, Allspace Life is equipped with six airbags, stability control, downhill control, and Isofix front passenger and rear child seat anchors as well as lane keep assist and driver warning, but without automatic emergency braking, the spec list is similar to the other two Allspace variants.
Five exterior colors are available for the vehicle, namely Atlantic Blue, Platinum Gray and Pyrite Metallic Silver and Oryx black and white pearl effect finishes; There is no additional cost for the following two shades.
Volkswagen Allspace 1.4 TSI Life is priced at RM172,990 (on the road without insurance), making it RM7,600 cheaper than the 1.4 TSI Elegance (currently RM180,590, following re-inclusive of SST). The SUV comes with three years of free maintenance, a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, and five years of roadside assistance.
