2022 Nissan Altima has yet to be included on the automaker’s website, but the sedan is in its early stages. After some minor changes for 2021, mainly related to pruning and merging, Nissan made smaller changes to next year’s model. The highlight is the new Midnight Edition Pack available on SR 2.5. This adds dark outlines and borders, Gloss black painted sports grille and spoiler, LED fog lights, heated exterior mirrors with LED turn signals and Midnight Edition badging in Satin black, plus alloy wheels 19 inch aluminum with gloss black paint. Inside, heated front seats, two-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat and a moonroof with a control panel.
The SR 2.5 is sporty with the base four-cylinder engine available in front- or all-wheel drive. When driving the front wheels, that mill produces 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. If power is sent to all four wheels, the power of the four cylinders drops to 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft. The SR is the only version available with a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged, variable-compression, 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 236 hp and 267 lb-ft, but the Midnight Edition Package is not optional on this model. .
Prices have increased slightly compared to 2021 Altima starting point as well as destination, increased from $925 to $975. Current numbers are unchanged for Altima 2022. MSRPs and their differences from when 2021 are introduced are:

- 2.5-liter SR/AWD: $28,925 ($400)
- 2.5-liter SL/AWD: $32,365 ($50)
- Platinum 2.5 Liter/AWD: $35,225 ($200)
- SR 2.0 liter VC-Turbo / FWD: $31,875 ($300)
