Do not wash your dog’s hair. It can dry out their skin. Add a little oil. I will take the dog out to the bay to swim and wash it clean, no need to wash its hair. I have three who rarely bathe them.

I bought this shampoo along with the conditioner that I used in my Lab who has skin allergies and am still using it on my German Shepherd now. I ordered through Chewy, very good product! Zymox also have ear drops which i used for my Labs ears its ears are horrible and have cleared and i also use this on my german Shepherd every week to keep his ears from sticking anything.

If they have seasonal itching, my vet recommends bathing to wash away the irritants. Putting baby oil in a warm bath may be all it takes to do this. If it’s a chronic problem, try including omega 3 fish oil in your daily diet. My lab benefits from both of these. Good luck

Our boy was extremely itchy on his legs and feet, we applied Equiderma lotion to him several days in a row. It deleted him instantly! It is a lotion for horses with skin problems. I had some for my horse so I took it home. They also do some specials for dogs. I don’t know if it’s different or the same with another label Awesome stuff!

My lab has a history of hot spots. Severe enough to require medical intervention. I put fish oil on him. Reduce them from 4 or 5 per year, to 2 small in the last 2 and a half years. If you really must wash your dog’s hair, buy one with oatmeal. Otherwise, regular brushing is usually enough.
