When two 14-year-old dogs, Jack and Maisie, are brought to a shelter together, they are constantly belittled for their age. Both are small, fluffy dogs, but people are not willing to give them a chance. Many dog lovers fear they won’t have much time with an older dog, but a dog’s final years are often the most meaningful to them. So when a woman named Jenna saw Jack and Maisie, she knew she had to take them home.
Change the world for two dogs
Jenna has been posting about Jack and Maisie for years now, but she recently turned to TikTok to share a heartfelt video of their journey. She met the couple after they were surrendered at a rescue center. Both dogs crave love and cuddles, and Jenna knows she can give them that.
“A lot of you have asked about Jack and Maisie so I thought I would share their stories. I hope it’s a reminder never to ignore the elderly in shelters, because they have so much love to give and deserve all the cuddles in the world,” Jenna wrote.
Despite their age, the two dogs have a lot of life left. Their tails are always wagging and they enjoy long walks on the beach (which sometimes ends with them being carried on a piggy bank).
Jenna always goes out of her way to make every senior dog day enjoyable. They quickly became her best friends, and every time she fell in love with them, she realized how grateful they were.

It’s been 4.5 years since Jenna adopted Jack and Maisie for adoption. Now, the pups are 18 years old and still very healthy. They’ve been asking for some intensive care lately, but Jenna uses that as an excuse to spend more time with them.
“Every day is always to make it the best! The group list is repeated! So this marks not only another hugely cherished milestone, but also 4 wonderful years of beach trips like this, endless experiences, games, hiking, walking. carry, sunbathe in the garden, cuddle evenings on the sofa and do everything possible to make Jenna write on their 4-year Gotcha Day.
Jenna doesn’t know how much time she has left with her two older children, but she will continue to make the most of it step by step. Jack and Maisie are so lucky to have a human that cares about them so much!
